North Newton Music Boosters
The North Newton music boosters (band & choir) started in 2011. Students in the North Newton Music Program thrive on the support of family, friends, community members, and North Newton alumni. Parent support for the North Newton Music program is expressed through the many activities of the Music Boosters. The mission of the NNHS Music Boosters is to advocate for the value of music education and provide volunteer and financial support for students and directors in the music program.
Each parent that has a student enrolled in the band or choir program is considered a member of the NN Booster organization. The purpose of this parent group is to provide supplementary communication, encouragement, assistance, and financial support to the band program. Each year there is an election of executive officers for the band boosters, of which any parent is eligible.
General meetings will be held once per month, on the first Tuesday at 4 PM. All parents are encouraged to attend. The boosters also conduct a series of fundraisers and band events to support the tremendous amount of work that the students put in each year. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in your child’s education and to help support the band and choir program here at North Newton. All these activities require parent volunteer effort. The Music Boosters' values are youth development, inclusiveness, artistry, and success! Parents and guardians of current band musicians are all members of the Band Booster family. Alumni and their families are also welcome to join.
